GENERAL FAQS

1. CAN I ALTER OR COMBINE CAKE DESIGNS?

No. However you can choose the size, flavour and colour were applicable and customise with a topper or message.

2. CAN I CHOOSE THE FLOWERS?

Unfortunately, flowers are seasonal, and availability can be limited. However, you can select your preferred colour.

3. ARE YOU A LICENSED KITCHEN?

Yes, Simply Divine Occasions hand crafts all our cakes from a purpose-built, licensed commercial kitchen and is proud to hold and have maintained a 5 STAR food safety rating as part of Brisbane City Council’s Eat Safe campaign

4. DO YOU HAVE A SHOP?

No! Simply Divine Occasions is a commercial studio based in a private residence and therefore all orders are to be placed online. All of our cakes are made to order and collections are by strict appointment only.
 

Unfortunately we DO NOT have PRE MADE CAKES for same day collection, all cakes are made to order.

5. HOW LONG BEFORE I GET MY ORDER?

A minimum of 3 days’ notice is required for all our pre-designed cakes; please note on some occasions we may be completely booked out. Our checkout page will allow you to choose from our available dates and time slots, with the option for Pick Up or Delivery.

6. CAN I GET IT DELIVERED THE SAME DAY?

No, a minimum of 3 days’ notice is required for all our pre-designed cakes.

7. DO YOU OFFER GLUTEN-FREE OPTIONS?

We sure do! However please note whilst all precautions are taken to avoid cross contamination, as our kitchen also produces gluten containing products, we cannot 100% guarantee traces will not be present.

8. ARE THERE VEGAN OPTIONS?

Yes, some of our cupcakes are available as vegan. Unfortunately, currently we do not offer pre-designed vegan cakes.

9. CAN I PICK MY ORDER UP?

Yes, our studio is located at 29 Diosma Street, Bellbowrie 4070 – the address and access details will be emailed along with your confirmation receipt.

10. DO YOU OFFER DELIVERY AND HOW MUCH WILL DELIVERY COST?

Yes. We offer delivery to selected areas, please refer to our delivery page for those areas and prices.

11. DO I NEED TO REFRIGERATE MY CAKE?

Yes. To maintain the exceptional finish of your cake it is recommended to refrigerate your cake until just before your event commences or 1-2 hours prior to consumption. Our cakes are best eaten at room temperature for optimal flavour and texture. When displaying your cake please keep in a cool room avoiding direct sunlight and any source of heat.

12. HOW LONG WILL I BE ABLE TO STORE MY CAKE FOR?

Our cakes are made fresh to order because of this any leftovers after your event can be wrapped in cling wrap, placed in an airtight container and frozen. Refrigerate overnight to defrost.

13. WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Once payment has been made the order is final.

14. CONFIRMATION AND POLICY?

Payment will be prompted in checkout, once processed you will receive a receipt for your order, thus a binding contract.

COLLECTION INFO

Free pickup is available from our studio, located in Bellbowrie, Brisbane 4070

1. WHAT DAY AND TIME CAN I COLLECT MY ORDER?

Collection from our Studio is available weekdays between 9.00am – 5.00pm and 9.00am – 12pm on Saturdays. Collection day and time slot are selected upon checkout. Collections on Sundays are not available.

2. WHERE DO I COLLECT MY ORDER FROM?

Our studio address will be displayed on the customer order confirmation email, as well as your chosen collection day and time slot.

3. HOW DO I TRANSPORT MY ORDER?

Always pick up a cake box from the base, do not place or press your hands into the sides of the box. Transport the cake on the flattest surface of your car, this being the foot well or floor of your boot. You can use a towel or non-slip mat to stop your cake sliding around. It is never recommended to transport your cake on a car seat or somebody’s lap, body heat generated may cause melting and the lean in your car seat may cause instability. Ensure you run your air con and take corners slowly.

4. I DAMAGED MY ORDER; CAN I BRING IT BACK?

No. Once your order has been collected, it is the collector’s sole responsibility to handle, transport and store the cake in the correct manor. Simply Divine Occasions are not liable for any loss or damage caused.

DELIVERY INFO

1. DOES SOMEBODY HAVE TO BE HOME TO ACCEPT THE DELIVERY?

Yes. We will attempt to contact the recipient prior to delivery, please ensure the correct phone number is provided at check out. 

2. WHAT DAY AND TIME WILL MY ORDER BE DELIVERED?

Delivery is available weekdays and Saturdays. If you require delivery this must be selected prior to completing checkout of your order. As delivery slots are limited it cannot be added on after an order has been processed.

– Weekday AM time slot 9.30am – 12.30pm
– Weekday PM time slot 12.30pm – 4.30pm
– Saturday AM ONLY time slot 8.00AM – 12.00PM.

 

Please note we cannot guarantee an exact time. Deliveries are not available on Sundays.

3. MY ORDER IS DAMAGED; CAN I BRING IT BACK?

No. Once your order has been delivered to the nominated venue, Simply Divine Occasions are not liable for any loss or damage caused.

4. WHAT IF NO-ONE IS HOME WHEN THE ORDER IS DELIVERED?

If we are given a wrong address or the recipient is not there/unable to receive at the time of delivery, the cake will be returned to our studio and collection will need to be arranged or another delivery fee will apply for redelivery.
